What do you think? Did Shanahan get it right by not dishing out a suspension to Lucic?
"I had the hearing because I did make an initial assessment of the play as I do with all plays, but I did have some questions for Milan and I wanted to hear directly from him," Shanahan told NHL.com. "They were regarding his intent; at what point did he know there was going to be a collision; and whether or not he felt he had the time to avoid the collision. I was satisfied with his answers."

Weird.
Miller should have braced for contact a little more than he did just as much as Lucic should have picked his head up sooner and avoid contact with the Miller. Lucic got a 2 minute for charging and I'd say it could have even been a 5 minute major but I don't think this play warranted a suspension
Also, this didn't help in his attempt to get Lucic a suspension:
"Saying he felt fine after the hit, Miller continued playing through the end of the second period.."
Nor did sticking around to call Lucic a piece of shit. Everything Miller did goes against player safety protocol on concussions.
Miller's head does not appear to have been hit by anything but Millers own shoulder, if that.
No one is talking about the immediate swing of Miller's stick at Lucic, though.
